HITEC Recognizes Priscilla Almodovar, Fannie Mae President and CEO, as the 2024 HITEC Estrella Award Recipient

CHICAGO, October 23, 2024The Hispanic Technology Executive Council (HITEC) is pleased to announce that Priscilla Almodovar, President and Chief Executive Officer of Fannie Mae, has been selected as the recipient of the 2024 HITEC Estrella Award.

The Estrella Award is HITEC’s most prestigious award presented annually to one individual whose leadership, integrity and dedication has contributed to the advancement of technology and who demonstrates excellence in all aspects of their career. The Estrella Award will be presented to Almodovar at the HITEC Fall Leadership Summit hosted by Capital One in McLean, VA on October 23, 2024.

"Priscilla is a purpose driven leader working to make homeownership available to more people across America,” said HITEC Chair Rosa Ramos Kwok. “She is an innovator in her industry and an inspiration to the next generation of leaders looking to make an impact in the c-suite and in the board room.”

Almodovar has more than 30 years of experience in law, finance, real estate, banking and community development. She is currently the only Latina serving as CEO of a Fortune 500 company. Almodovar strongly believes that generational wealth is built through homeownership and uses her voice to help create a housing system that is more equitable and works for everyone.  She is recognized as one of Fortune’s 50 most powerful Latinas, Hispanic Business’ 100 Most Influential Hispanics and more.
