Monica has more than 30 years of experience in business, program and engineering leadership. She began her career at TRW in software engineering and program leadership before joining Lockheed Martin
in 1997. Since then, she has moved into leadership positions of increasing scope and complexity, supporting federal, commercial and international markets. Her prior roles include Vice President, Geospatial Systems and Services; Vice President IS&GS-Security Engineering; Vice President and IS&GS CIO; Vice President, IT Services; and Vice President, Applications and CIO, Enterprise Operations. These roles include responsibility for profit and loss, Engineering performance, and IT leadership.
Monica is a graduate of the College of William and Mary with a Bachelor of Science with Honors in Computer Science. She received a Master of Science degree in Computer Science from Virginia Tech. Monica has been involved in many community activities, with a passion for STEM
activities. She is currently a member of the Board of Directors for the National Alliance for Partnerships in Equity (NAPE) and Co-Chair of the Lockheed-Martin Hispanic Organization for Leadership and Awareness (HOLA) Leadership Council. She has been recognized
as one of the Hispanic IT Executive Council (HITEC) 100 in 2016, 2017 and 2018. Monica was also named by the Association of Latino Professionals for America (ALPFA) in its list of the 50 most powerful Latinas of 2017
