More than 500 technology executives and emerging leaders from across the country met at Cisco's San Jose campus for the HITEC (Hispanic Information Technology Council) annual fall leadership summit November 7-9, 2018.
This summit was the largest and most inclusive HITEC leadership summit yet. HITEC’s vision is to connect, inspire and grow influential Hispanic technology executives while developing the next generation of Hispanic technology leaders. For the first time all of the general sessions at the HITEC Summit were live streamed thanks to the generous support from Cisco. More than 12,000 people across the globe were able to tune in and learn from our inspiring speakers.
We are excited to continue expanding our reach and we look forward to having a greater impact as we grow in 2019.

The HITEC Foundation
The HITEC Foundation works to change the story of Hispanic representation in technology by cultivating the leadership potential of today’s Hispanic talent. The mission of the HITEC Foundation is to enable the next generation of Hispanic technology talent through a life cycle that begins with students and uses the power of its community to continuously inspire forward.
On the evening of November 8th, the mission of the HITEC Foundation was well represented at the HITEC 100 & Corporate Awards Gala with an inspiring video presentation highlighting the stories of three amazing Latinas that in turn represented the three primary programs of the HITEC Foundation. Itzel Ventura Munoz, Addy Casillas, and Lorena Valentin shared the stories of their personal journeys and how the Foundation has made a fundamental difference in the realization of their dreams. The evening was emotionally stirring, and led to the foundation raising a record setting $300,000 + in funds through a combination of auction sales and generous contributions made by individual HITEC Members, Corporate Partners, and friends.
Thank you to everyone who donated!
For all those who were unable to attend the Gala but would like to make a difference, please text “HITEC” to *56512 or donate online and be part of this initiative.
